Unfortunately, this scarce piece does not have its original special anchor stopper. It is an otherwise excellent example with the only flaw being a small scuff on the back. Like crazing, I would not consider this devaluing on a 70 year old whisky flask. The ovoid flask was issued in 1938 as a limited edition of 1,000 to commemorate the Sesquincentenary of the New South Wales and City of Sydney settlements. Captain Phillip was the Governor of New South Wales, the home of 1,000's of British convicts in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Great Selection and Great Prices on vintage, discontinued Royal Doulton pieces.
