This is an excellent example of a flask made into a tavern barrel with scenes of a 16th Century Elizabethan tavern on 4 sides. This flask is really quite remarkable given that the piece has no rough base. The flask was made with the bottom being one end. The bottom end (pictured below) is typically fragile and subject to some roughness and loss of integrity as would be expected. This piece's bottom edge has some minor cracking and one tiny chip - all and all an excellent example with no cracks or repairs. There is overall crazing as would be expected for this early 20th Century piece. Original fittings though no pail included.
