Description and Condition of Pieces for Sale
Every effort is made to properly describe a piece. Doulton pieces are hand-made, hand crafted and hand-painted to varying degrees. Consequently, no two items are identical. Descriptions include any devaluing faults. If an item is described as excellent, mint or like new, it has no devaluing faults. Please keep in mind that there may be original production or factory flaws and most all older pieces have some normal wear on them including crazing, faint scratches or shelf wear on the bottom.
Items for sale have a brief description including condition along with one or more pictures. The pictures are of the actual item and hopefully provide additional help in describing a piece. For a number of reasons, pictures of an item will vary slightly from the actual item. Also, it is common to see light reflections on the surface of a glossy piece which often are confused for a paint chip or scratch. They are not unless stated in the description. You are welcome to email and ask for a clarification.
Production details, historical information and price guidance has been obtained from information taken from reliable Royal Doulton reference books including Charlton's Standard Catalogues by Jean Dale; Doulton For the Collector by Jocelyn Lukins; Royal Doulton Seriesware by Louise Irvine; Lyle Price Guide to Doulton by Tony Curtis; and, Royal Doulton 1815 - 1965 by Desmond Eyles. Occasionally, the information is incorrect (e.g. - size.)
100% Satisfaction Guarantee!!

Shipping Charges
Effective January 1, 2010, new shipping rates are now in effect that reflect increases by the shippers used by the Royal Doulton Collector Store. This store is charging a flat rate on each order which means that the cost of shipping is the same whether you purchase one item or 4 or more. This is good news if your order is larger in terms of the number and/or cost of the item(s). Keep in mind that the shipping charge includes insurance coverage. Please contact me if your order will exceed $2000, so that we may discuss payment and shipping as it may pertain to your location.
Please Note: Orders sent to an international destination may be subject to Import Duties, Customs Fees, and Local Taxes. The customer is responsible for any of these additional fees. Documents are completed according to U.S. Custom regulations.
